You can now play classic Super Monkey Ball games directly in your browser, allowing you to roll through iconic stages to chase those addictive high scores.

An unofficial fan-made website has made Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2 fully playable online, letting players jump straight into the chaotic ball-rolling action that defined the early 2000s.

Both games are playable start to finish, with options to select difficulty and stages, alongside sliders for music, sound effects, and announcer volume.

Controls are handled via keyboard using WASD or arrow keys, and controller support is also available for players who want something closer to the original console experience.

The main thing missing is AiAi himself. The series’ iconic monkey mascot has not yet been ported, meaning players currently control an empty ball instead.

Despite that, the core gameplay remains intact, and the creator says the site also works on mobile devices, allowing players to play Super Monkey Ball on the go.

The developer behind the project says it was a rapid turnaround fueled by some extreme dedication, explaining: “I’ve been basically working on this nonstop for 5 days (I stayed up for over 30 hours straight, at one point…) so I want to put it out there just so I can pay attention to something else for a moment!!”

While the creator notes that players could find some bugs and missing features while playing, they are aware of them and will provide fixes in the coming weeks.

Either way, fans of Super Monkey Ball now have a way to sneak in some sessions of Sega’s classic platformer when they’re away from their console.
