Taco Bell has added a new ‘Fan Style’ section to its app, giving customers the ability to create, name, and share their own custom menu items.
The fast-food company launched the new in-app experience on Tuesday, July 22, and there is no purchase required to participate. You do, however, have to be a part of Taco Bell’s rewards program.
Fan Style lets users remix Taco Bell ingredients into personalized orders, then publish those creations with a custom name and shareable link. Each time someone purchases a fan-made item, the original creator earns points equal to the value of the order.
According to Taco Bell, the most popular fan creations may even appear as official menu items at locations across the US for a limited time later in 2025.
They’re doing billboard ads, too
The chain is also offering a one-day promotional push on July 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. PT, where select fan creations will be featured on billboards, in theaters, and other real-world placements. It’s the latest way Taco Bell is leaning into fan culture and digital engagement.
Taco Bell says more than half of its mobile orders already include customized items. The new Fan Style section is designed to streamline and spotlight those hacks in a way that rewards creativity and viral appeal.
