Tech YouTuber ‘Enderman’ just had multiple accounts with hundreds of thousands of subscribers terminated. They claimed the decisions were ‘wrongfully’ made by Artificial Intelligence with no human input.

Despite their main account boasting over 350,000 subscribers, Enderman grew concerned about their future on YouTube when a secondary account was terminated without warning.

Out of nowhere, an alternate account was taken off the platform for allegedly failing to abide by YouTube’s Terms of Service. The reason? It was associated with a non-English speaking channel that had received three or more copyright strikes. Enderman possessed no knowledge of the account, or even the language it represented.

As such, they published a video on November 3, warning fans their main account could be next. Indeed, they were correct, and they blamed it all on YouTube’s reliance on AI.

YouTuber Enderman has accounts terminated

The tech-focused content creator blasted YouTube’s decision making process in the November 3 upload, which has since been rehosted on various other platforms.

“It wrongfully concluded my channel was associated with a channel that was terminated for three copyright strikes,” they said. “I don’t freaking know what channel that is!”

Given past instances of being unable to speak with humans on YouTube’s creator support team, Enderman pointed the finger at AI, claiming it was AI that linked his secondary channel to a foreign channel, and subsequently terminated his accounts.

“I had no idea such drastic measures like channel termination were allowed to be processed by AI. It’s really unfortunate we have to end so abruptly. I’ve really just lost all hope at this point. Shame on YouTube”

Enderman took the opportunity to advise other content creators to treat YouTube as a side hustle while preparing for it to disappear at any moment. Just like them, others could be “bullied” by YouTube’s AI enforcement, they argued.

YouTube is yet to publicly comment on the matter. Dexerto has reached out but received no comment at the time of writing.
