The Sofirn SP36 Pro is a compact EDC style flashlight, measuring just 5" in length and weighing about 10 ounces without the battery. It features a ruggest aluminum shell and has an IPX8 rating, which means it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep. The flashlight requires three 18650 Li-on batteries and fortunately they are included. These are more powerful than standard AAA batteries, which is why the SP36 Pro has such a high light output for its size. It recharges via USB Type-C cable, so no specialized charger is necessary.

The light array is comprised of four Luminus SST-40 LEDs each with is own individual reflector. They combine for a maximum output of 8,000 lumens and a beam distance of up to 450 meters, which means that this little flashlight can illuminate an entire football field. You can adjust the brightness if you don't need so much light at once, and the lowest setting can run up to 9 hours on a single charge.

The Sofirn SP36 Pro is popular and well-rated among the flashlight community for its powerful output at such a low price. Most people buy it for around $50-$60, so getting it for under $30 is practically a steal. And besides, there's no such thing as having plenty of light sources available on hand for emergencies.
