There are some big savings (up to 25 % off) on several adult-themed LEGO sets that have, thus far, never been discounted, including one of my all-time favorite builds. The LEGO Milky Way Galaxy set #31212 is currently $199.99 elsewhere (even during Prime Day), but Insiders members can get it for $159.99, or 20% off the retail price. This massive 3,091-brick set was released last year; I've built it myself and I can say that it is one of my favorite builds of all-time. What's unique about this representation of our Milky Way galaxy is that the set employs the "greebling" technique. What that basically means is that random LEGO parts that you wouldn't expect to belong in a galaxy are used. The Milky Way build makes use of a colorful palette of bricks, something that's sorely missing in recent LEGO builds, and the layering makes the finished art piece look like a mesmerizing 3D display. I bought it at the full retail price and have no regrets.

This build is certainly stands out as being the only set in this sale with an include battery box and working motor piece. The lighthouse build stands 21.5 inches tall and has a working rotating light and custom-designed Fresnel lens elements. As a nice added touch, the lights inside the cottage at the base of the lighthouse also turn on and off. If you factor in all the working elements as well as the motor and battery box, a per-brick price of 10.8 cents is actually a solid value.
