The Office is coming to Fortnite in an unexpected crossover, with skins for two of the iconic comedy series’ most beloved characters expected to be included.

One of the many reasons that millions of players keep logging back into Fortnite is the number of major collaborations it has with popular franchises and notable figures. In Chapter 7 alone, we’ve seen the likes of South Park, Kim Kardashian, and the anime Bleach

At this point, it seems silly to rule out skins for anyone or anything, but every now and then, Epic Games still throws a surprise into the mix.

The latest of these unexpected crossovers is the beloved comedy series, The Office, which looks set to arrive in Fortnite very soon.

Fortnite x The Office collab coming soon

On January 20, the official Fortnite X account shared a basic picture of a vegetable, with the caption: “Build. Beets. Battle Royale.” Fans immediately noticed that this was a reference to when Jim Halpert does his infamous impression of Dwight Schrute in Season 3, when he speaks the line, “Bears, beats, Battlestar Galactica.”

Although no further details were mentioned, this immediately sent The Office obsessives into a meltdown.

Luckily, leakers have managed to uncover extra details about the collaboration, which will reportedly arrive with the next update on January 22.

According to a leak from ‘AdiraFNInfo,’ which was shared around by HYPEX and Shiina, the collaboration will include two skins: Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson).

Both skins will likely be available from the in-game store using V-Bucks, but it hasn’t been confirmed how much they will cost or what other cosmetics will be included.

It remains to be seen if these are the only characters we see from The Office, or if we get some more familiar faces later down the line. Fans would no doubt love the opportunity to play as Pam Beesly or Jim Halpert, or even Ricky Gervais’ David Brent, if they expanded into the UK version.
