Kingdom Hearts is one of my all-time favourite video games, it has helped me during the most darkest times in my life so when I saw this pin on Pinterest about a Kingdom Hearts Animal Crossing island I immediately ran to my switch to experience it in game.

This island is based on Kingdom Hearts 1 which is the first game in the series, I’ll be posting Kingdom Hearts screenshots next to the Animal Crossing island so you can see the references in case you’re not familiar with Kingdom Hearts at all. All images I’ve used for reference photos to show you what has been recreated have been found on Google or from video screenshots.

The island has a lot of terraforming to perfectly resemble each world from Kingdom Hearts. Resident services is meant to be Traverse Town, etc. Apparently all of the animal villager’s houses are also all decorated to perfectly match with the world they’re from but I didn’t know about this until I left. 😦 Maybe you can check that out for yourselves if you choose to visit?

For our human resident we have Sora! The creator mentioned that Sora’s home is the inside of Hollow Bastion. Sora is the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts so it makes sense that he would be the island rep. And of course he says his most iconic and powerful line! 🙂

The town tune for this island is also from Kingdom Hearts, it’s the song from Traverse Town which is fitting as the island is named Traverse. 🙂

For this dream island tour we’ll start from where the beginning of Kingdom Hearts begins, at the Dive to the Heart.

Dive to the Heart is kinda like a “tutorial” level inside the Kingdom Hearts games. In Kingdom Hearts 1 you have to choose from the sword, the shield or the staff which greatly impacts your gameplay later. I was incredibly impressed to see all of those included within this part of the island alongside with the station of awakening of Sora on the floor.

Following the Dive to the Heart is the next world which is Destiny Islands.

The little huts that they made from the furniture really makes this part of the island feel like a tropical island— just like Destiny Islands!

I’m happy that they included the other residents of Destiny Islands for this part of the island tour. The detail of adding the blue volleyball for Wakka was an amazing attention to detail, same with Tidus’ stick. 🙂

They added the raft that Sora, Kairi and Riku were working on building with the legendary paopu fruit next to the raft! I love how they made Kairi stand on the raft just like how she was at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 1. 🙂

Nearby to the raft is the Destiny Islands cave where the drawings of Sora and Kairi sharing the paopu fruit are drawn alongside the mysterious door.

I really liked how they recreated the cave as this section where you have to walk inside of it to access the drawings and the mysterious door. The shape of the cliffs that you walk inside is also exactly the same layout as the cave from the actual game. 🙂

Next, we have Traverse Town – located where resident services is! It’s super incredibly impressive on how the creator managed to make this part of the island look like the real Traverse Town.

We have our dearly beloved (get it?) Donald and Goofy located in Traverse Town where Sora meets them for the first time in his journey. 🙂

The candles puzzle was also recreated on the island, I love how they even made one candle already blown out like how it is in the actual game. The attention to detail is insane.

They also Donald Duck’s nephews nearby as they own the item shop in Traverse Town’s 1st District.

I love how they used their mailbox for the Traverse Town mailbox, a genius idea. 🙂

We also see Cid and the Moogle being recreated in Traverse Town. 🙂

The Gummi ship hangar isn’t a world that you can visit in Kingdom Hearts 1 but it’s brilliant that the creator still decided to include it in the island!

I love how there’s Chip and Dale at the hangar. 🙂

The first Disney world in Kingdom Hearts is Wonderland so that’s where we will go first for our tour!

I was incredibly impressed with how they managed to recreate the first main room of this world in comparison to the original from the game. Adding a boba drink to recreate the “Drink me” on top of the table was such a genius idea.

The heart path tiles paired with the card guards, bunny day bushes and roses was such a pretty transition area to the next part of wonderland where Alice is on trail with the queen of cards! I forgot to take a photo of that part unfortunately. 😦

The Mad Hatter’s tea party table looked incredible!

And then there’s the Chesire Cat as well. 🙂

Next up is Olympus Coliseum! This world is tiny in Kingdom Hearts 1 so you only really see the fighting ring that you participate in for doing cups. I really like how they added 3 dogs to represent Cerberus!

I’m super silly and didn’t take a photo using the + button so please ignore the game’s UI for that photo… Whoops. 😛
I love how they added a board to show off the Olympus Coliseum cups you participate in!

The next world is Deep Jungle which is Tarzan! The creator recreated the camp perfectly, I love how they put the Animal Crossing campsite here!

The use of bamboo and the giant vines to decorate the surrounding areas was brilliant to give the illusion that this specific area is a jungle. 🙂

The next Disney world is Agrabah from the movie Aladdin. Aladdin is my favourite Disney movie so I was pretty excited to see how to creator of this island recreated the city of Agrabah in New Horizons!

I was incredibly impressed with how they’ve managed to perfectly replicate Agrabah!

Monstro is next as it swallows the Gummi ship! This part of the island is super small as it’s not a big world either in Kingdom Hearts and recreating Monstro is probably difficult.

I love how they included a lost Dalmatians as a part of the lost 99 Dalmatians puppy side quest here! There’s more of them around this island, how many have you spotted so far whilst reading this post? 👀

The next Disney world is Halloween Town from the popular movie, The Nightmare before Christmas. This is probably my favourite world in Kingdom Hearts 1 as Sora’s design is amazing!

We see Oogie Boogie alongside the bathtub at the southern part of Halloween Town.

The main part of Halloween Town we see Sally and Jack together with the doctor’s lab north from the fountain with his wheelchair outside the lab. 🙂

Atlantica is an optional world in Kingdom Hearts 1 but we’re of course still going to check it out here on this island! The first thing we see is the sea witch Ursala’s lair which has the cauldron which you use for her first boss battle. I like how it’s red like how it can be in the boss fight as a hint to use your magic to beat her.

We also have Flounder and Sebastian here in Atlantica. 🙂

And then we have Atlantica’s castle! It’s a pretty impressive recreation!

For the final Disney world we have Neverland! This world recreation was super impressive! For the first part we have London where they recreated Big Ben and used tiny dollhouses to give an illusion of London!

The AMAZINGLY built Captain Hook’s ship! I’m genuinely blown away with how incredible it looks! 😮

Nearby to Captain Hook’s ship is the crocodile with a clock next to it which I thought was absolutely hilarious. 😀

I love the irony of the pier being located nearby to Hook’s ship too. I guess you could use it as walking the plank. 😛

I unfortunately forgot to take more photos of the outside for the Hollow Bastion part of the island! 😦 I did take photos of all of the rooms inside though!

Hollow Bastion is a super beautiful castle with lots of pipes and has a beautiful rustic feel to it from the outside and in some of its interior.

I think the main room inside is meant to be this room?

It was cool seeing this room remaking the Maleficent dragon fight! 😮 I struggled so much with this boss on my first play through.

I loved the reference to the 7 princesses of heart with the crowns inside of those incubator looking furniture!

The final keyhole room inside Hollow Bastion, I absolutely loved seeing this being recreated! 😮

Hollow Bastion’s library! It must of been hard to recreate this room as it’s pretty huge in the game but it’s still a pretty good recreation! 🙂

I believe the basement is the puzzle maze room in Hollow Bastion, it was an amazingly thought idea putting this room as the basement as this maze is accessed from going underneath the castle in Kingdom Hearts 1.

Lastly, we have the final world which is the End of The World alongside the final rest door.

The mountains, rocks and glows give off the same purple impression as the game. Having some of the statues as the Heartless is a cool idea paired with the mannequin Heartless!

If you’d like to visit Traverse island for yourself the dream address is: 1717-8755-5612.
