The Simpsons Hit & Run has been transformed into Futurama, thanks to an ambitious new fan-made mod that reimagines the cult-classic game in the futuristic streets of New New York.
Created by modding group Slurm Team, Futurama Hit & Run completely transforms the original 2003 game, swapping out Springfield for a full 3D recreation of Planet Express HQ, the city skyline, and its surrounding districts.
Characters, vehicles, and missions have all been rebuilt to match The Simpsons’ sister series, making it feel more like a lost Futurama game than a straightforward reskin.

The mod, available to download now as a free demo, lets players step into the role of Fry as he explores New New York in hovercars, races through familiar locations, and runs errands for Professor Farnsworth.
The project even caught the attention of Joe McGinn, lead designer of The Simpsons Hit & Run, who praised the effort in a comment on the mod’s YouTube trailer. “As the lead designer of the original game, I can only say… this looks awesome! I want to play it,” he wrote.
