Zotac is launching a new gaming perfume that was originally meant just as an April Fool’s joke, claiming it can help enhance players’ performance.
PC hardware manufacturer Zotac, known for its graphics cards and mini PCs, first announced its “GAMING Fragrance Collection” on March 31, 2025. As an early April Fool’s joke, it featured four different scents designed to help gamers smell better.
The company mentioned these products used a proprietary blend of “caffeine, taurine, and other secret ingredients” to keep you feeling fresh when playing.
Although this was originally nothing more than a gag, it turns out that they’ve actually made the move and brought the product to life.
Zotac turns April Fool’s joke into reality by releasing gaming perfume
As announced in a social media post, Zotac is launching its “F5 Esports Perfume,” which allows players to fight mental fatigue, improve their attention and reactions, and have their “senses aligned” for the “ultimate gaming advantage” all while keeping their scent “refreshed.”
In the original April Fool’s post, the particular F5 variant was mentioned to have a “refreshing aquatic woody fragrance that awakens the senses and enhances your gaming performance” and that it used a mix of “sea breeze, cypress, mint, and white musk.”
Now a real product; however, its list of ingredients has changed somewhat. According to the post, this perfume uses “prelude buddamot, rock rose, geranium in the middle, and rosemary in the tail.”
The post also mentioned its smell, describing it as having a “clean wood water fragrance.” You have to be really lucky to get it, though, as they’re not available for purchase. Instead, they’re seemingly only available as part of a giveaway on social media.
Those interested in trying this fragrance must like the page, publicly share, like the post, and tag two friends in the comments by June 13, 2025.
The F5 product is the only one that’s been announced, but it’s worth noting that the other products from the April Fool’s post generated plenty of attention, too. Imagine smelling Ctrl+Alt+Scent, Critical Hit, and even GG in real life. We’re here for it.
