Gen V Season 2 Episode 8 has arrived, bringing the latest chapter of The Boys spinoff to a close. A lot goes down, and if you want to catch up, there’s a simple way to watch the finale for free.

In the sophomore season of Gen V, the gang are back together at Godolkin University after being locked up at the Elmira Center, and there’s a new dean in town: Cipher (Hamish Linklater).

Meanwhile, we learn that Project Odessa was launched to create god-like supes, but only two subjects survived: Homelander (Antony Starr) and Marie (Jaz Sinclair). Cipher wants Marie to harness her powers to their fullest, but why?

Well, in Season 2 Episode 7, we find out that Cipher has been Thomas Godolkin this whole time – and he has a nefarious plan that’s been decades in the making. Will Marie and co. stop him? All is revealed in the finale.

How to watch Gen V Season 2 Episode 8 free

It’s simple: Amazon’s streaming service Prime Video offers a 30-day free trial. So, if you sign up now, you can watch the entirety of Gen V Season 2 for free, including the explosive finale.

The offer is only available to new or returning subscribers who haven’t been a member in the last 12 months. If this doesn’t apply to you, you can always create a new Amazon account with a different email address.

Or, there is another way: Metro by T-Mobile customers on the $60 a month plan – formerly known as the Metro Flex Unlimited Plus plan – can also get a free Amazon Prime membership, which includes access to Prime Video.

If you’re already with the service provider and want to upgrade, simply head here to find out more, or click here to redeem the Amazon perk. This deal could also come in handy when The Boys Season 5 drops in 2026.

Is Gen V streaming anywhere else?

No, Gen V is exclusive to Amazon’s streaming service, meaning no matter where you are in the world, Prime Video is the only place to watch it.

For those of you building your physical media collection, Season 1 is available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray from the usual outlets, including Amazon, of course. There’s no release date for Season 2 on disc just yet, but it’s expected to release sometime in 2026.

If Gen V Season 3 does go ahead, it will also head to Prime Video, and the same goes for upcoming spinoffs Vought Rising and The Boys: Mexico.
