Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 4, ‘The Last Temptation of Jerry’, has landed, and if you’re desperate to avoid spoilers but don’t have cable, don’t fret – there’s a simple way to watch it for free right now.
Only Rick and Morty is chaotic enough to air an Easter special more than two months after Easter, and it works: Jerry gets “Easter Claused,” leaving the titular duo with no choice but to go on another misadventure and save the day.
Much like the other episodes of Season 8 so far, it appears the show is back on track after a divisive Season 7, the first time new voice actors Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden replaced co-creator Justin Roiland as Rick and Morty, respectively.
So far, we’ve had Birdperson, Space Beth, a canon-heavy trip, and more meta jokes than you can shake a fist at, and this continues with the fourth episode.
How to watch Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 4 free
New episodes drop on Sundays, where you can watch them on-demand via Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. If you don’t have cable, you can watch Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 4 by signing up to a free trial of a streaming service offering the channel.
For instance, Hulu + Live TV typically offers new users a three-day free trial, DirecTV offers five days, and Fubo offers seven days.
Just be sure to cancel the subscription before it auto-renews if you don’t fancy paying, and keep an eye out for deals, as sometimes these free trials are extended for limited periods of time.
There is another way to watch it without parting ways with your cash, but you’ll have to wait. Channel 4 is the UK distributor for Rick and Morty, and so long as you have a VPN, you can sign up to the network’s on-demand platform and stream content for free (with ads).
The only issue is that its release schedule is a week behind the US. As such, Season 8 Episode 4 airs on E4 on Sunday, June 22, at 9pm BST.
If you do want to do it this way, just wait for the episode to finish at 9.30pm BST, when it will be uploaded to Channel 4 on-demand. Then, set your VPN to a UK location and hit the play button.
Alternatively, Rick and Morty Season 8 will be available to watch on streaming – but not until September 1, 2025, when all episodes will land on HBO Max at once.
