After conquering Elden Ring, Twitch streamer Dr. Doot is well on his way to beating Hollow Knight: Silksong using a saxophone as a controller.

Whenever a challenging game launches and starts giving us a hard time, there are always those players who do their best to make us feel inadequate. This can range from speedrunning through it in record times to completing it in weird and wonderful ways.

In the case of Dr. Doot, he puts his fellow gamers to shame by beating ridiculously tough challenges not with a controller, but with a saxophone.

After managing to battle his way through Elden Ring, including the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, he’s currently tackling Hollow Knight: Silksong, and he’s already made it through one of the toughest areas.

Dr. Doot clears Silksong’s Path of Pain using a saxophone

On September 25, the streamer shared a clip of him completing the Path of Pain 2, a secret area that’s seen as one of the most challenging platforming sections in the sequel. This is an area that many fans struggle with using a normal pad, so to make it to the end using a musical instrument is seriously impressive.

Since it’s an electric sax, he’s even managed to bind sound effects to each input, allowing Hornet to make a surprisingly catchy tune while she narrowly avoids death. After finally reaching the top of the grueling climb, he lets out a well-earned sigh of relief.

He’s not far away from beating the entire game, either. In his most recent stream, on September 26, he faced off against Lost Lace, the secret boss required to unlock the true ending. Although she knocked the air out of him time and time again before he ended the stream, he vowed to return and finish the job.
