TikTok creator and comedian Steve Bridges has died at the age of 41, his wife Chelsey Bridges announced on October 17.
In an emotional video shared to his official TikTok page, Chelsey said that her husband died “peacefully in his sleep” on October 15. The couple had been married for 16 years and shared three children together.
Bridges was known for his comedic POV-style videos, where he portrayed exaggerated everyday characters like “baby daddies” and “solar panel salesmen.” His relatable humor drew a combined audience of over 2 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. Chelsey frequently appeared alongside him in the sketches.

Fighting through tears, Chelsey told fans she wanted to deliver the news herself before she “wasn’t able to do it.” She described Steve as a devoted husband and father, saying the characters he played online were far removed from who he truly was.
“He was the most attentive father, and the best, the best husband,” she said. “And thanks to you, internet, he’s been able to live his dream of making people laugh. I am so thankful that he got to do that.”
Chelsey also asked for kindness from the community as she and their children grieve, adding that they may continue to share memories of Steve online.
