A new AI model has been going viral on social media, claiming to be a TV presenter for the Champions League. However, they aren’t.
AI models and projects aren’t new things, but with the improvements in technology, they have started blurring the lines between real and fake. Musicians are constantly fighting back against AI groups producing music and being pushed on Spotify. They can be somewhat easy to suss out, though, given that the AI can’t actually perform live shows.
Actress Tilly Norwood, an AI project from Xicoia, has claimed that they will soon be represented by a big talent agency with the view to being in big productions.
However, that isn’t the on-screen model that has gained a following. Eysan Aksoy from Turkey has also created a legion of fans.
AI TV presenter has big following on social media
The account claims to present the Champions League coverage in Turkey. However, there is just one problem – if you tune in, you won’t actually see Aksoy on your screen.
As noted, the host is totally AI, and the account admits to that, too with a “created by AI” mention in the bio. Yet, that hasn’t stopped nearly 50,000 people from following it on Instagram.
The host also has a presence on TikTok and other platforms as well. She’s even started a YouTube channel, but hasn’t uploaded any videos. As for TikTok, well, you won’t find any highlights from her supposed TV appearances, just photos from Instagram.
It isn’t the only AI account with a massive following on social media, either. We’ve seen an AI chef host its own podcast before taking over the running of a real-life luxury restaurant. However, it won’t actually cook your food.
