Umamusume cosplayers have banded together to race on a real-life horse racing track, bringing the characters to life… in a way.

It’s clear that more and more people have started getting into horse racing as of late, and for many, they have Umamusume: Pretty Derby to thank.

The game’s global launch has truly made a noticeable impact, especially when you look at the recent viewership of a recent Derby event.

And it doesn’t stop there. At a recent event in Bangkok, Thailand, Umamusume fans decided to take things a step further, cosplaying as the anime horse girls while racing on a real track.

Have you ever wondered what Umamusume live-action would look like? Well, now we can see a glimpse of that thanks to the cosplayers who attended the Thailand Queen’s Cup race in the Royal Bangkok Sports Club.

Not only did they gather together to watch a real-life horse race, but they also jumped onto the track themselves.

Some of the familiar characters in the clip that’s been circulating on social media include Matikanetannhauser, Kitasan Black, Manhattan Cafe, Oguri Cap, Agnes Tachyon, and even Gold Ship, one of the community’s favorites.

Granted, there’s no concert afterward for whoever won first place, like you’d see in the anime and in-game, but it’s definitely entertaining to see for the community, as the event has already pulled a plethora of positive reactions in a Reddit thread.

“I can just imagine that one 60-year-old horse racing veteran in the crowd who’s just staring bewildered at all those Umamusume people, lol,” one user commented.

“I was expecting a few. Then the whole two rows turned around,” said one user, to which another replied: “There were like five rows, lmao.”

Meanwhile, others said that there were likely male cosplayers in the video as well, which they found “accurate” given some of the race horses’ real gender.
