One of Indonesia’s biggest horse racing events is leaning into the Umamusume hype like never before, by hosting its very own Uma-style fan art competition.
Following a record-breaking surge in viewership driven by Umamusume: Pretty Derby fans, the organizers of the Indonesia Horse Racing Derby are embracing their new audience with a creative, fan-led initiative.
Sarga.co has launched an official fan art contest to honor King Argentin, the 2025 Indonesia Triple Crown champion. The winners of the competition will not only win a cash prize for their efforts, but they’ll also get ultimate bragging rights within the Umamususme community.

On August 1, Sarga.co posted on X asking fans to send in their fan art. The post reads:
“Celebrate King Argentin’s victory as the 2025 Indonesia Triple Crown champion with your creative fan art. “This is your chance to be part of Indonesian horse racing history…It’s more than just a competition, your fan art could be featured on SARGA.CO’s official platform!”
According to a machine-translated scan of the image, one lucky winner will receive a cash prize, an E-certificate, and the opportunity to have their fan art uploaded to Sarga.co’s official website.
The contest comes days after viewership figures for the Indonesia Horse Racing Derby 2025 livestream exploded. As previously reported, the livestream pulled in over 270,000 YouTube viewers, which was a huge leap from 2024’s 85,000.
The increase in audience comes from Umamusume fans, who flooded the chat with in-jokes, memes, and even early illustrations of King Argentin reimagined as an anime horse girl. Event organizers not only acknowledged the flood of new viewers but actively encouraged Umamusume-style tributes during the broadcast.
Now, with King Argentin getting the anime horse girl treatment, he can join the likes of legendary Umamusume characters like Haru Urara and Gold Ship.
