Umamusume fans have officially completed the crowdfunding campaign for Meisho Doto’s retirement home, with Northern Lake confirming donations have surpassed the target goal.
Umamusume fans have officially pushed the Meisho Doto crowdfunding campaign to its final milestone, with Northern Lake confirming donations have reached $675,000 USD.
The update was shared on December 19, marking the completion of the campaign’s ultimate stretch goal just three days before it was set to close. Northern Lake said hitting the figure will allow the farm to go beyond basic repairs, unlocking additional welfare upgrades for its retired horses.
Among the confirmed additions is a covered walking machine, designed to let horses exercise safely during heavy snow, extreme heat, and other harsh weather conditions. The farm described the milestone as the best possible prize money for Meisho Doto and the other horses in its care.

“Northern Lake’s crowdfunding has officially reached 100,000,000 yen, the final goal. This means we can provide a covered walking machine to support the horses’ health during harsh winters and hot summers,” said the post on X.
“Thank you to everyone who believed, shared, and supported until the very end. This is the best possible prize money for Meisho Doto and his friends. This victory belongs to everyone who loves horse racing, Umamusume, and retired racehorses beyond the track.”
The fundraiser originally launched to rebuild aging stables, but momentum surged as Umamusume players rallied behind the real horse that inspired the character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. By the time the final goal was announced, thousands of supporters from Japan and overseas had already contributed.
With the $675,000 USD target now cleared ahead of schedule and the campaign set to end on December 22, the project stands as another example of how Umamusume’s fanbase continues to support the lives of real-life horses.
