As you may know, the Switch 2 console will only accept MicroSD Express cards. If you have a standard MicroSD card from your previous Switch, you sadly won't be able to use it to store games in the Switch 2. Although the two might look similar, MicroSD Express cards are much, much faster than their precedessors, with speeds of up to 800MB/s. Most MicroSD cards cap out at well under 200MB/s.
Are Switch 2s on Sale for Black Friday?
Sadly, no (although we'd love to be proven wrong tomorrow). In fact, Nintendo recently raised prices on Switch 2 accessories and warned that the console itself might see a price hike in the near future. So, although there are no Switch 2 console deals live for Black Friday, if you don't yet own one and are looking into buying, now might be the right time to get one. It's now in stock everywhere, including on Amazon, and without any invitation required anymore. The only way to get a Switch 2 for a cheaper price would be buying an import model from AliExpress or used consoles from eBay or other marketplaces. If you're still unsure if Switch 2 is worth your investment this holiday season, check out our Nintendo Switch 2 review first for more insight before you buy.
