Megabonk has only been out for a short time, but it’s already making a name for itself among this year’s most surprising indie hits. Released just two weeks ago, the chaotic action title has quickly built momentum with players, and it’s just hit a major milestone.
Despite being out for such a short time, Megabonk has thrived thanks to its addictive gameplay loop that draws heavy comparisons to Vampire Survivors and rather…unique characters, items, and bosses (we’re looking at you Megachad).
Well, now, complementing the over 88,000 people that have dived in to complete ‘just one more run’ about 20 times, is a new major milestone for the game, it’s officially sold one million copies.
Megabonk hits one million sales in just two weeks
As revealed by the game’s developer on X, Megabonk has officially sold one million copies in just two weeks:
“One million Megabonk copies sold in 2 weeks, thank you guys!! I’ll be eating spaghetti with extra sauce tonight.”
While it doesn’t quite reach the rapid sales surge of Schedule 1, another recent indie hit that took off, or Peak, which hit one million in just eight days, the number is still remarkable. For a small project to cross a million sales in such a short span is a major milestone and a clear sign of how much players are loving its addictive gameplay.
Megabonk’s success doesn’t seem to be slowing down either. The game is still pulling in a higher player count than its original peak, with the recent peak happening on October 2, and momentum suggests those numbers could climb even further. If growth continues at this pace, the next sales milestone might not be far away.
