After teases in Agatha All Along, Vision Quest may finally bring Wanda Maximoff back to the MCU, according to a new report.

Quick recap: in WandaVision, Wanda conceived two children (William, aka Wiccan, and Tommy, aka Speed) via magic, but they were wiped from existence when she freed Westview from its spell.

In Doctor Strange 2, she tried to reunite with her kids through the multiverse using the Darkhold (in short, a scary book full of ancient spells). In the end, she seemingly sacrificed herself to destroy it, crushing herself under Mount Wundagore, and that was the last time we saw her.

There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not she’ll show up in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, but there’s a chance she appears in Vision Quest.

Vision Quest may have an ending with Wanda

According to a new report from insider Daniel Richtman, “the team behind Vision Quest is currently testing multiple endings, including one featuring Ghost Agatha and Billy, and another involving Wanda.”

Vision Quest would make sense for Wanda’s return, given her connection to the character. The show is rumored to follow White Vision as he travels to Madripoor “in search of his memories and humanity” – and after WandaVision, where he acquired the original Vision’s memories, he should be thinking about Wanda.

Agatha All Along also ended with Billy and Agatha’s ghost heading off to find his lost twin, which could set them on a path towards Wanda.

“Since [the finale], many questions have remained in fans’ minds about Wanda,” Kevin Feige told Omelette in November 2024.

“So, all I can say is we are excited to find out when and how Scarlet Witch can return.”

Olsen appeared to rule herself out of an appearance in Doomsday earlier this year, telling The Hollywood Reporter she was returning to the US (the new film has been filming in the UK and Bahrain) to film other projects.

However, she also said: “I do feel very lucky that I’ve been able to play a character for over 10 years of my life, and I’d love to keep doing more.

“But the animation thing, I feel like it’s a parallel world. I don’t really know how it intersects with what we do. But I’ve really enjoyed getting to play her over 10 years, and I continue to feel lucky that I have the opportunities I did, creatively.”
