VTuber RileyCS, who has been under fire for apparently cheating in Battlefield 6, has responded to claims about them “wiping” their YouTube channel.

Cheating in multiplayer games has been around forever, but things have ramped up in the last few years as game developers have gone to new lengths to try and combat hackers.

With Battlefield 6 being in its beta test phase, many players were shocked to see that clips of cheats running riot in games had already made their way to social media. Additionally, VTuber RileyCS came under fire for their gameplay, with a number of cheating accusations being thrown against them.

Many critics pointed to the snappiness of some of their kills, claiming the flicks between shots could only be done by an aimbot.

The Twitch streamer, who did receive a ban from the Amazon-owned platform in the midst of everything, has maintained that they’re not cheating, and has been defended by a number of big creators.

There had been claims that they ‘wiped’ their YouTube channel because a number of old videos were removed. However, RileyCS has since addressed things.

“Recently been getting a lot of comments about me “wiping” my youtube channel. Personally I thought it was pretty normal to unlist several year old cringe videos that you thought sucked, but since people REALLY want to see them i went and unlisted them all,” they posted on X, clarifying that vidoes had been relisted, not unlisted.

The streamer also cleared up claims of them having multiple Steam accounts too.

“Also, I only have 2 steam accounts, both of which are very old, and have never been VAC or game banned on them,” they added before posting links to both.

Their stats from the first Battlefield 6 beta weekend were also posted on X, formerly Twitter, showing they only had 25% shot accuracy across 100 games.

“Well within normal ranges compared to other top players I looked at,” one poster said.

As noted, other creators have moved to defend RileyCS, with Karl Jobst even suggesting making a video on the drama.
