Warzone has a new meta Assault Rifle that outguns the long-range competition, after it got a huge buff in the Season 1 Reloaded update.
The mid-season patch was a massive content drop in Warzone. Not only did it bring a bunch of new weapons and even a Fallout crossover, complete with an Event Pass and a limited-time mode, but it also brought a number of vital weapon balancing changes.
These buffs and nerfs shook up the meta across the board, with many strong guns being made a little less effective, while some underused options got big improvements.
One of the weapons that benefited most from the update was the M15 Mod 0, which is set to dominate long-range fights for the foreseeable future.
M15 Mod 0 is the new best Assault Rifle in Warzone after buff
The patch buffed the Assault Rifle’s range in a big way, taking its maximum damage range from 38m all the way to 45m. Its medium range also improved from 55 to 60m, its minimum damage went from 22 to 24, and it got a healthy bullet velocity upgrade.
None of this sounds like a lot on paper, but as shared by Warzone Meta, the rifle is absolutely deadly up to 51 meters, with a TTK of just 624ms. This puts it ahead the previous go-to guns, such as the DS20 Mirage and AK-27.
It’s also competitive at much longer distances, with a TTK of 858ms beyond 51 meters. While Sniper Rifles will obviously be more effective at that sort of range, it’s solid for an Assault Rifle and it packs more punch than an LMG.
The M15 Mod 0’s real strength, though, is just how easy it is to use. It has very little recoil to contend with, and what is there comes in a very predictable pattern, meaning you can stay accurate and achieve this rapid time-to-kill more consistently.
We already saw this AR take over Black Ops 7 multiplayer after launch, to the extent that it had to be nerfed in a later update. Now, it’s set to do the same in Warzone going forward.
