A number of Warzone’s most popular Assault Rifles have been nerfed in a subtle update that you may not have even noticed.
Whenever a new season of Warzone rolls around, the Call of Duty battle royale developers push out a number of weapon changes that shake up the meta. This big round of buffs and nerfs are, at times, followed by smaller patches to iron out further kinks.
This has been the case whenever a weapon becomes so overpowered that it is the only gun of choice for players.
That has happened somewhat in Season 4 Reloaded as the Krig became by far and away the best Assault Rifle of the bunch. It has since been nerfed in a small patch on July 8, with the AR’s recoil increasing, as well as a decrease to it’s multipliers. However, that isn’t the only change.
Ames 85, Kilo-141 & GPR 91 buffed in Warzone
On top of the Krig C’s nerf, the Warzone devs have pushed out a number of buffs to the Ames 85, Kilo-141, and GPR 91.
The Ames 85 has seen it’s Maximum Damage Range increased from 31.7m to 35.5m, Medium Damage Range 1 increased from 40.6m to 45.7m, and Headshot multiplier increased from 1.2x to 1.3x.
The Kilo’s bullet velocity has been improved from 870m/s to 905m/s, while the GPR has had it’s Maximum Damage Range increased from 33m to 38m, Medium Damage Range 1 increased from 45.7m to 49.5m, Lower Torso multiplier increased from 0.8x to 0.85x, and Aim Down Sight speed improved from 240ms to 230ms.
Additionally, the DM-10 has been nerfed, with particular focus on decreasing it’s damage multipliers as well.
“The DM-10 will remain strong in skilled hands but requires more precise shots to achieve its strength now,” the devs said.
Visual recoil has been changed across the board with 2x, 3x, and 4x scopes on Black Ops 6 Weapons, with reduced optic strafing movement also on MWII and MWIII Weapons.
