A set of newlyweds have been going super viral as their wedding was a “cinematic masterpiece,” after hiring a filmmaker to document things for them.

There are plenty of things on the wedding day checklist that you need to have ticked off months in advance. You need a venue, rings, a dress, and a celebrant to conduct the ceremony, too.

Getting a photographer and videographer so that you’ve got memories of the day is on that list, too. It can be a pretty expensive thing to tick off, especially if you want high-quality shots of the build-up, ceremony, and party after.

Well, one couple, Reiley and James, have taken it to a new level, hiring cinematographer Evan Chandler to record the day for them. As a result, the highlights of their day became social media’s new favorite thing in November, going super viral

Wedding goes viral for looking like a horror movie

That’s right, Chandler was hired to film the day and it’s already been called a “cinematic masterpiece” by viewers. One of the clips has gotten over 1.1 million likes on Instagram alone, with viewers being blown away by what they’re seeing.

“This grading makes it look like the beginning of an A24 psychological horror movie taking place during a wedding though,” one impressed viewer said.

“Cinematic masterpiece! Don’t know who you are, I’m not the wedding audience demographic, stayed for the whole thing, loved every second. Great work man keep it up!” another added. “Perfection,” commented another.

Chandler posted a follow-up, stating that the viral one was actually a mistake, showing off the actual video.

“Accidentally posted the wrong colorgrade of this video and it got millions of views so I figured I had to post the updated version,” he said.

Some viewers said that the horror-esque upload was “more intriguing,” but praised his work all the same. “Really cool to see the difference it makes,” one commented.
