Wendy’s is embracing its dark side with a new goth-themed meal and mobile game, timed to drop with Wednesday Season 2 on Netflix.

Starting August 4, the fast food chain is launching a limited-edition Meal of Misfortune designed “by” Wednesday Addams herself, complete with fiery sauces, custom packaging, and a digital escape game with a $10,000 prize.

The meal includes: Rest in 10-Piece Nuggets, Cursed & Crispy Fries, Raven’s Blood Frosty, Dips of Dread (mystery spicy sauces randomly chosen with each order), and the Spoon of Gloom.

The sauces, labeled with names like This Will Sting and Grave Mistake, play into Gen Z’s obsession with extreme spice. But the twist? You don’t get to pick. Each meal comes with two surprise sauces marked only by question marks.

The packaging stays on-brand with Wednesday’s aesthetic, featuring her Nevermore Academy silhouette and the tagline: “There’s Nothing Happy About This Meal.”

Wendy’s Wednesday collab includes a mobile game with $10K prize

The collab also extends into the Wendy’s mobile app with a new mini-game, Escape from Wednesday’s Woe. Players take control of Wendy to navigate gothic traps, earn in-app rewards, and enter to win a $10,000 grand prize.

$10K is a bigger prize than most esports tournaments, so it’ll be interesting to see if any competitive players join in.

“Normally I’d be against this kind of capitalistic corporate synergy,” said Wednesday Addams in a press release. “But when the fast-food-slinging pigtailed provocateur said I could do whatever I wanted to her customers, I couldn’t resist.”

The promotion follows last year’s purple Whopper from Burger King’s Addams Family collab, but Wendy’s may have just out-weirded them.
