A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 4 is dropping early this week, so here’s details of when and where to watch, plus a recap of what happened in Episode 3.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is heating up nicely at the moment, with Dunk edging ever close to his wish of competing in the Ashford Meadow tournament, and Egg… well you’ll have to scroll down for our spoiler-filled recap of the last instalment to learn his big news. Meaning SPOILERS at the bottom of this page.
The show has provided a nice contrast to previous George R.R. Martin adaptations, being more focussed and grounded than Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.
But if you’re expecting the next episode to debut on Sunday, that isn’t the case this week, with a certain sporting event getting in the way.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 4 will debut on Friday, February 6 due to the Super Bowl on Sunday
To avoid clashing with America’s biggest sporting event, the fourth instalment – which is titled ‘Seven’ – premieres at 12.01am PT / 3.01am ET on Friday morning in the US, before its linear premiere on Sunday, February 8 at 7pm PT / 10pm ET.
When it comes to that Sunday screening, there’s a sneaky way to watch in other territories: by using a VPN. You’ll still need a subscription to the streaming service, but you can do this by using a gift card to pay for it or via on-demand platforms such as Amazon Prime.
For viewers using this method, we’ve listed several alternate time zones below so you know when to tune in:
- 12am Brazil (February 9)
- 3am UK (February 9)
- 4am Central European Time (February 9)
- 8.30am India Standard Time (February 9)
- 2pm Australia (February 9)
- 4pm New Zealand (February 9)
How many episodes are there?

What happened in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 3?
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 3 sees Dunk and Egg getting to know each other a little better, Aerion showing his true colors, a fortune teller making a terrifying prediction, Dunk being offered a bribe, and Egg revealing himself to be… a Targaryen.
The episode commences with Egg training warhorse Thunder, leading to a funny montage. Knight and squire then do some bonding, with Dunk and Egg singing, sowing, pooping, cooking, eating, and generally just hanging out.
Dunk gets a day of rest as only highborn knights compete at the start of the tourney, while he’s also offered a rigged joust to help make money for Lord Ashford, and given a day to think about it.
We see Aerion in action during a joust, where the Prince enrages the crowd by lowering his weapon to mortally wounding his opponent’s horse.
A fortune teller sees a dark future for Egg, stating: “You shall be king, and die in a hot fire, and worms shall feed upon your ashes, and all who know you shall rejoice in your dying.”
Dunk laughs it off and goes drinking with Raymun, while Egg tries to ignore the words by watching Tanselle perform a puppet show in which a dragon is killed.
Aerion takes offence to that perceived slight and breaks her fingers, at which point Dunk steps in and smacks him about, knocking one of the Prince’s teeth loose.
Aerion doesn’t take kindly to that and orders his guards to smash all of Dunk’s gnashers out, at which point Egg steps in, orders them to stop, and reveals himself to be Aerion’s brother, and therefore royalty.
