Industry Season 4 Episode 5 is dropping much earlier than expected this week, so here’s when, where, and at what time it’s available, plus a recap of Episode 4.

HBO‘s Industry has been in the news recently, with the showrunners complaining that finance bros fundamentally misunderstand the series.

Season 4 has been a rollercoaster ride thus far, with Harper teaming up with Eric and continuing their toxic working relationship, a story that’s dovetailing with boardroom drama at fintech company Tender.

So here’s when the new episode is dropping, why it has been pushed forwards, and details of what happened in the previous instalment.

Industry Season 4 Episode 5 will be available on HBO’s streaming service from Friday, February 6, 2026, at 12:01 am PT / 3.01am ET.

The change in date is due to the Super Bowl being played on the same day episodes usually drop. However, Industry will also air in its usual linear time slot on HBO this Sunday, February 8, at 6pm PT / 9pm ET.

The series is a co-production between HBO and the BBC, so if you are in the UK, the new episode will be available on the BBC iPlayer the next morning (February 9), while it drops on BBC One at 10.40pm that same day.

For other territories, there’s a sneaky way to watch: by using a VPN. You’ll still need a subscription to the streaming service, but you can do this by using a gift card to pay for it or via on-demand platforms such as Amazon Prime.

For viewers using this method, we’ve listed several alternate time zones below so you know when to tune in:

  • 1am Brazil (January 26)
  • 4am UK (January 26)
  • 5am Central European Time (January 26)
  • 9.30am India Standard Time (January 26)
  • 3pm Australia (January 26)
  • 5pm New Zealand (January 26)

How many episodes are in Season 4 of Industry?

As with the previous three seasons, there are eight episodes in Season 4 of Industry.

Here’s how the release schedule looks for US viewers (so just add a day if you are in any of the above territories):

What happened in Episode 4?

Episode 4 of Industry sees Tender going to war with SternTao, and Whitney setting in motion a chain of events that have tragic consequences.

The episode commences with Tender securing a billion-dollar investment from Pierpoint, Yasmine endeavouring to “eventise” the app launch, and Henry presenting at the WebHorizon tech conference.

In spite of some pre-match nerves, he duly delivers a rousing speech about putting a bank in your pocket, as well as some inspiring words about change. Though that feel-good factor is ruined when journalist Jim confronts Whitney about what the company is up to in Sunderland.

In response, Tender launches a smear campaign against Jim that includes potentially incriminating photos of his meeting with Harper, and a false accusation of sexual assault by Hayley, which ultimately results in him getting fired.

Rishi has an equally rough time, with his mother-in-law planning to change his son’s name and potentially taking him abroad. Which prompts Rishi to go on a bender, during which he drinks with Jim.

The troubled duo end up doing cocaine together in a flat, from which Joe overdoses just as the police arrive at their door. In response, Rishi jumps of the balcony, breaking his ankles before being arrested.
