The only thing fans can do is wait for It: Welcome to Derry Episode 4 after that creepy Pennywise tease in Episode 3. Spoilers ahead…
The third chapter of the horror series sees the kids try to do the right thing: get evidence that they’re being hunted by some kind of supernatural entity, only for Pennywise to get even closer.
The show finally revealed how General Shaw (James Remar) knows about Derry and Pennywise thanks to a creepy flashback involving a traveling circus and the horrifying encounter in the woods he had as a child. But Shaw only remembered the stories he was told about the creature when he was stationed at the Derry airbase as an adult, and he informed the military that they might be able to control It.

How many episodes are there in It: Welcome to Derry Season 1?
There are eight episodes in It: Welcome to Derry Season 1, and although HBO hasn’t officially renewed it for Season 2, Andy Muschietti already has a three season plan in place if/when the call comes.
Muschietti explained the show’s three season plan in an interview with Deadline, saying: “The second season will be in 1935. At the end of Season 1, we are hinting at the reason why we are going to tell the story in two more seasons and backwards.”
During a roundtable interview with press, the director explained his overarching idea was to tell the story of Pennywise and Derry. “What really happened? What were the causes that led to the burning of the black spot or the massacre of the Bradley Gang?” TechRadar reported. “That was the first thing, and of course, telling the story of Pennywise and his origins.”
