What happened in Episode 3?
Episode 3 of Paradise Season 2 saw Samantha Redmond take center stage, focusing on her efforts to make the bunker happen in the past, and recover from her injuries in the present.
Before ‘The Day,’ Redmond is told about the consequences of the upcoming disaster, and advised to “dig a hole and get in it.” All of which spurs her on, but when a quantum scientist won’t sell his crucial tech to the project, she hires Billy Pace to make that happen.
Pace ends up killing said scientist to get the deal done, but spares his protégé, who is revealed to be Link.
In the present day, Redmond slowly recovers from her injuries, while President Baines takes control of the underground city, places her under house arrest, and interrogating her about energy that’s being secretly siphoned off from the bunker.
Meanwhile, Robinson suspects Driscoll of killing Billy, which in turn leads to Driscoll killing Baines and frames Robinson for the murder.
While all this is happening, the youth of Paradise turn on the authorities, and are regularly arrested and thrown in an even more underground prison. Jeremy Bradford suffers that fate, and at the end of Episode 3, vows to blow the doors off the bunker.
