After the global success of Physical: Asia, Netflix is treating us to a new spinoff titled Welcome to Mongolia, and it’s dropping sooner than you think, so be sure to make note of the exact release date and time.
Physical: Asia itself is a spinoff to Physical: 100, the competition series in which 100 contestants battle it out in gruelling challenges in a bid to win the honor (and cash prize) as the last player standing.
The Asia edition switched it up with six contestants from eight countries (Korea, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Mongolia, Australia, and Turkey) going against each other to be crowned the strongest nation.
Although Team Korea won Physical: Asia, in the eyes of many viewers, Team Mongolia were the spiritual winners – and now they’re getting their own series on Netflix.
Your New Year’s Day viewing is sorted, as Physical: Welcome to Mongolia lands on Netflix on January 1, 2026, at 12am PT / 3am ET.
Although the streaming service hasn’t confirmed, it’s expected that all episodes will drop at once, meaning you won’t have to wait for new batches to arrive. We’ve listed other time zones below so you know when to tune in:
- 5am Brazil
- 8am UK
- 9am Central European Time
- 1:30pm India Standard Time
- 7pm Australia
- 9pm New Zealand
However, there is a sneaky way to watch the new TV show early: by using a VPN. You see, since Physical: Welcome to Mongolia is still a Korean production, it dropped early in Korea.
Episodes 1-2 landed on Netflix on December 24, while Episodes 3-4 released on December 31. If you don’t speak Korean, you’ll only be able to watch the first two episodes early, as the second batch hasn’t got subtitles just yet.
Still, if you can’t wait until New Year’s Day, the first two episodes with English subs can be viewed on Netflix simply by setting your VPN to a Korean location, heading to the streaming service, and clicking on Physical: Welcome to Mongolia.
How many episodes are there?
There are four episodes in total, a stark difference to Physical: Asia’s 12 episode run, and Physical: 100, which has nine episodes per season. The reason for this is that Welcome to Mongolia is more of a travel and culture show than a competition series.
Although there are no episode titles for the new show, here are the descriptions as per their listings on Netflix Korea:
- Episode 1
- “Former rivals Team Korea and Team Mongolia of Physical: Asia reunite in the vast plains of Mongolia, where Orkhonbayar warmly greets his guests.”
- Episode 2
- “A surprise guest welcomes Kim Dong-hyun, Amotti, and Orkhonbayar on a snowy plain. The soul of Genghis Khan comes alive as they enjoy mounted archery.”
- Episode 3
- “The Oji family hosts a special day for their friends, with a dazzling circus performance that leaves everyone in awe and a grand housewarming party filled with a sumptuous feast. After all that fun, is it time to get back to training? Run, bump, and roll!”
- Episode 4
- “Finally, they visit the training ground of the ‘Mongolian Bokh Champion’, Orkhonbayar. A thrilling match and a surprising turn of events unfold in Mongolia, and as they look ahead to what comes next, they share a special farewell.”

Unlike the original shows, Physical: Welcome to Mongolia isn’t a competition series. Instead, it will see Team Mongolia members leading their Korean teammates on a trip that features outdoor challenges and culture.
