Single’s Inferno Season 5 is just around the corner, and the creators have promised it’s the biggest (and steamiest) chapter yet. So you don’t miss any of the drama and romance, be sure to bookmark its release date and time on Netflix.
Since launching in 2021, Single’s Inferno has gone on to become one of the streaming service’s most popular reality shows. The format itself sees a group of singletons heading to an island called Inferno where they have to fend for themselves while building connections.
If two people match with each other, they get to spend the night together at a luxury hotel called Paradise. At the end of each season, a final match-up takes place and the formed couples can leave together.
The Season 5 cast is the biggest pool yet, and there will also be some twists to the games. Episodes are released in batches – you’ll find all the details of when to tune in and what to expect below.
The first batch of Single’s Inferno Season 5 episodes land on Netflix on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 12am PT / 3am ET. There are four episodes in Part 1.
We’ve listed several timezones below so you know exactly when to tune in:
- 5am Brazil
- 8am UK
- 9am Central European Time
- 1:30pm India Standard Time
- 7pm Australia
- 9pm New Zealand
Unlike scripted Netflix originals, the streaming service tends to drop reality shows in batches to ensure maximum engagement over several weeks rather than one short binge window.
By splitting seasons into parts, Netflix can build anticipation around cliffhangers and twists, while encouraging discourse on social media (of which there’s always a lot – who else remembers the swing incident from Season 4?).
How many episodes are there?
Although there’s no confirmation from Netflix just yet, reports suggest that Single’s Inferno Season 5 will have 12 episodes in total.
Even though Season 1 had just eight episodes, this number steadily increased as the show gained popularity. Season 2 had 10, there were 11 in Season 3, and Season 4 bumped this up to 12.
Full release schedule
Again, the release schedule is yet to be confirmed, but if it follows the same pattern as Season 4, it will look like this:

- Episode 5 – January 27, 2026
- Episode 6 – January 27, 2026
- Episode 7 – February 3, 2026

We’ll keep this space updated when the full release details and episode count are confirmed.
What to expect in Season 5
Alongside the bigger cast, the stakes are said to be even higher in Single’s Inferno Season 5, and there’s also been a big rule change to the ‘truth or drink’ game.
In a press conference last week, producer Kim Jae-won said (via Korea JoongAng Daily), “One of the key highlights to watch in the first week is the truth or dare game.
“To give a slight spoiler, we introduced a new rule this time. In previous seasons, participants could choose to drink instead of answering questions they didn’t want to respond to, but that option is gone.
“This time, every question had to be answered. This caused complete chaos, and the impact of the game carried all the way through to the final day.”
Jae-won also said they listened to fan complaints and have adapted Season 5 to make sure it’s what the viewers want. Firstly, they’ve made Inferno Island feel even harsher.
“We wanted Inferno to feel even more like hell, so we made the preparation process tougher. After all, love becomes more meaningful when it has obstacles to overcome,” he said.
In a separate interview, he revealed that they’ve ensured the cast is more diverse. “Last year, I felt the limitations of social media casting, so I took to the streets,” Jae-won explained (via Star News).
“These days, the economy is so bad that there’s no one on the streets. I went to places that are known to attract a lot of young people, but there was no one there on a Friday.
“We changed our strategy and made flyers the old-fashioned way. We put them up in gyms, hair salons, and restaurants that the cast members who fit our mold would likely visit, and waited.”
One thing that hasn’t changed is the group of hosts, with Hanhae, Dex, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, and Kyuhyun all returning.
At the press conference, Kyuhyun highlighted Season 5’s pool scenes, which may rival Dex and Seul-ki’s steamy moment from Season 2.
“This season features what may be the sexiest pool scene in the show’s history,” he said. “Viewers should probably brace themselves every time the pool comes into play.”
