Can you believe it’s nearly time for the Tell Me Lies Season 3 finale? There are many storylines to wrap up, and if you want to avoid spoilers, be sure to make note of its exact release date and time on Hulu.

In the third chapter of the hit Hulu drama, things between the cast have been messier than ever. Stephen emotionally blackmailed Lucy into confessing about Chris, Pippa has been cheating on Wrigley with Diana, and Wrigley’s been falling in love with Bree.

The sad news is, Season 3 Episode 8 might be the last ever episode of Tell Me Lies, as showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer previously said she envisioned the third chapter would be the ending of the series.

Even if Season 4 doesn’t go ahead, the cast and Oppenheimer have promised the finale will be satisfying, and will wrap up all of the storylines in a way that makes sense. So, here’s when you can watch it.

The Tell Me Lies Season 3 finale lands on Hulu on Tuesday, February 17 at 12am ET. This means those on PT will get it a day earlier – February 16 at 9pm.

If you’re outside the US, you can watch Season 3 Episode 8 on Disney+ on February 17. According to reports, the international release times are as follows:

  • 4am Brazil
  • 8am UK
  • 9am Central European Summer Time
  • 1:30pm India Standard Time
  • 4pm Singapore
  • 7pm Australia
  • 9pm New Zealand

How many episodes are there?

There are eight episodes in Tell Me Lies Season 3, the same as Season 2 and two less than Season 1. You can check out their titles and descriptions below:

  • Episode 1 – ’You F*cked It, Friend’
    • “Back at Baird College for spring semester, Lucy and Stephen promise things will be different this time.”
  • Episode 2 – ’We Can’t Help It If We Are a Problem’
    • “Bree encounters an unexpected reunion. Stephen gives Lucy an ultimatum.”
  • Episode 3 – ’Repent’
    • “The Puswas attend an Apres-Ski frat party. Lucy tries to switch her focus away from Stephen.”
  • Episode 4 – ’Fix Me Up, Girl’
    • “A surprising setback sends Diana back into Stephen’s orbit. Lucy seeks advice from an unlikely person.”
  • Episode 5 – ‘I’d Like to Hold Her Head Under Water’

  • Episode 6 – ‘I Don’t Cry When I’m Sad Anymore’
    • “Everyone goes goth for Valentine’s Day. Stephen introduces a new friend.”
  • Episode 7 – ‘As I Climb Onto Your Back, I Will Promise Not to Sting’
    • “Relationships are tested at Bree’s photography exhibition. Lucy devises a plan to finally put rumors to rest.”
  • Episode 8 – ’Are You Happy Now, That I’m on My Knees?’
    • “A scandal erupts at Baird College. When shocking truths come to light, consequences follow for everyone.”

As for why there are less episodes than in Season 1, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer is yet to comment on the third chapter, but she did explain why this was the case for the second.

“There were a bunch of reasons. It was scheduling. It was because I was expecting a baby and we were trying to finish the season before she was born; then the strike happened and it was all besides the point anyway,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

“It was production reasons, not anything creative. But it was nice. I think it made everything a lot tighter.”

What happened in Season 3 Episode 7?

Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 7, ‘As I Climb Onto Your Back, I Will Promise Not to Sting’, picks up where Episode 6 left off, with Wrigley and Bree having just shared a kiss.

Wrigley admits he feels more friendship than romance with Pippa and says he’s going to break up with her. Bree feels the same, saying she’ll end things with Evan. They don’t rush into anything official, but both clearly see this as the start of something real.

Meanwhile, Evan goes to Oliver for advice on how to “keep” Bree. Oliver suggests that Bree is someone who needs stability and security, and that Evan should position himself as the one person she can rely on.

Lucy, meanwhile, approaches Tegan – the girl Stephen is currently seeing – and warns her to be careful. She tells her she wishes someone had warned her, making it clear she still sees Stephen as dangerous.

Back on campus, Bree hesitates about breaking up with Evan because her photography exhibition is that night and she doesn’t want drama overshadowing it.

Lucy then goes to Evan with a bigger concern: she claims Stephen is gearing up to tell Bree that they slept together. Lucy suggests they make a pact: if Stephen says anything, they both deny it, as Bree would never believe Stephen over them.

Wrigley goes through with breaking up with Pippa, telling her that they’ve felt more like best friends lately. Even though she’s been secretly involved with Diana, the rejection clearly still hurts Pippa.

Lucy then meets with Stephen and tells him she’s unhappy, and although they talk as if they might be ready to get back together, it becomes clear that Lucy is enacting a plan to get the tape back and free herself from Stephen’s control.

Stephen says if she’s serious about fixing things, she needs to tell Bree the truth about her and Evan. If she does, he’ll give her back the tape of her confession. For now, they put it on hold, with Lucy pointing out that the night of Bree’s exhibition would be bad timing.

Later that day, Evan starts putting Oliver’s advice into action, picking up Bree’s mom Mary from the train station. Instead of taking her straight to campus, he takes her out for drinks, knowing her history with alcohol.

As for Pippa, she confides in Diana about Wrigley breaking up with her. She admits she feels guilty for being upset but still can’t shake it, asking Diana to give her some good news to take her mind off it.

Diana then reveals she’s going to Stanford Law School. While Pippa is happy for her, she’s also surprised, knowing Diana was applying to multiple colleges.

But Diana says Stanford feels right – and it’s as far away from Stephen as possible. Pippa questions why Diana would plan her life around avoiding him, and their conversation quickly spirals.

Pippa points out they’ll now be on opposite sides of the country and says Diana doesn’t put nearly as much thought into her as she does into Stephen. But Diana pushes back, saying it’s unfair to expect her to change her future.

Ultimately, this conversation leads to Pippa’s second breakup of the day, as Diana says their relationship feels too intense and that she can’t do it right now.

At the exhibition, Bree’s mom Mary arrives already drunk and quickly becomes more intoxicated. When Bree asks Evan what happened, he lies and says she showed up like that.

Mary grows loud and confrontational, accusing Bree of being embarrassed by her. She tries to keep her mom in check but Mary storms out.

As Bree’s already overwhelmed, Lucy decides to step in and go after her. She talks Mary round, convincing her to go and at least say goodbye properly to her daughter.

While outside, Stephen pulls Lucy aside, suggesting this is the perfect time to tell Bree everything. Lucy insists it would destroy her night and tries to bargain: give her the tape, and she’ll tell Bree tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this is Stephen’s MO – he sees right through her plan and tells her she’s bad at manipulation.

Elsewhere, Pippa calls Wrigley in tears and says she needs him. He leaves the exhibition to go to her, and she doesn’t tell him about Diana, instead framing it as devastation over their breakup. They end up sleeping together, but Wrigley’s clearly conflicted.

Later, Lucy goes to Stephen’s dorm in tears, desperately pleading with him to see the confessional tape. He plays it for her on his laptop and she watches it, before begging him to just release it and put her out of her misery.

In a surprising turn, Stephen removes the memory card and hands it to her. It’s unclear whether this is genuine kindness or another calculated move.

The next morning, Lucy learns she’s been accepted into a study abroad program for the following year. It feels like a fresh start – distance from Stephen and no more tape drama.

Pippa returns to her dorm, where Bree is already awake. Casually, Pippa mentions she slept with Wrigley the night before. Bree keeps her composure while getting to the bathroom, where she quietly bursts into tears.

Later, Bree goes to Evan’s apartment and decides she wants to stay with him, which explains why they’re still together in the 2015 timeline. But while Evan showers, Bree scrolls through old Facebook photos and spots one from the night Evan and Lucy hooked up.

In the background, she sees them close together with Evan appearing to comfort Lucy, and something clicks. She looks at Evan’s phone on the table and picks it up, at which point the episode ends.
