Black Ops 6 Season 4 is the next major update for Treyarch’s shooter, set to bring new maps, weapons, and more.
The last big update, Season 3 Reloaded, brought some weed-themed events and the new Ladra SMG, and Season 4 will be even bigger. Thanks to leaks, we already have an idea of what weapons are set to arrive and the returning villain.
Here’s everything we know about Black Ops 6 Season 4, including the release date and leaks.
Season 4 is set to arrive on Thursday, May 29, 2025, as revealed by the Season 3 Battle Pass timer. New seasons start immediately after the last one ends, so unless Treyarch announce a delay, this will be the date.
New seasons typically start at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST, with the update available to preload a few days before.
Leaked weapons
According to dataminers, the Olympia Shotgun and a revolver are on the way and will likely arrive in Season 4.
Reliable dataminer Alaix showed off file names for upcoming weapons, confirming one of them is the Olympia. This double-barreled Shotgun is a classic Black Ops weapon that, although powerful at close range, always suffered from a sharp damage dropoff and slow reload time.
The revolver, revealed by Reality (another leaker with a great track record), looks like a typical 6-shot pistol.
There are also two melee weapons, the pickaxe and ‘bknuckles’ (likely Brass Knuckles), which are also set for Season 4 but might arrive through the Reloaded update.
Grim Reaper Scorestreak
The same leak revealed the Grim Reaper Scorestreak from the original Black Ops is set to return. Also known as the M202 FLASH, the Grim Reaper is a semi-automatic rocket launcher that can fire four shots before having to be reloaded.
It could only be obtained from a Care Package in the original game, but we’ll need to wait and see how you’ll get it in Black Ops 6.
Leaked Operator
Black Ops Cold War’s Stitch is set to be the main Operator for BO6 Season 4, as revealed by Alaix. Vikhor ‘Stitch’ Kuzmin was a main villain in Cold War’s post-launch content, who we thought was dead after Adler shot him in the back of the head in 1984.
He presumably survived the bullet and will be back to cause havoc once again in Black Ops 6’s post-launch story.
There are also three more Operators hidden behind the codenames ‘corgi,’ ‘doberman,’ and ‘poodle,’ but who those three people could be is anyone’s guess.
Is there a new Zombies map?
There’s been nothing to say that a new Zombies map is coming in Black Ops 6 Season 4, but if they follow the usual schedule, we can expect one.
Following Season 3’s Shattered Veil Easter egg, the next Zombies map is expected to be ‘Janus Towers.’ Shattered Veil ends with Richtofen leading the crew to Janus Towers, where the ether reactors are melting down. The map probably won’t be called Janus Towers, but it’s the most likely setting.
There’s been a new Zombies map every season – whether that’s the main update or the midseason – so we’ll need to wait and see whether Janus Towers arrives in Season 4. But it’s worth bearing in mind that it could be the final Zombies map for BO6, so it might not drop until later in the year.
