Season 4 Reloaded is the next major update coming to Black Ops 6, bringing with it new maps, modes, and even weapons to unlock.

The Season 4 update was packed with new arrivals in multiplayer, including weapons like the FFAR 1 Assault Rifle and LC10 SMG, as well as a Ballerina crossover. Although it also came with some unwanted performance issues, the update was yet another huge content drop.

Things are showing no signs of slowing down, though, as the mid-season update is right around the corner. Here’s everything we know about it so far, including when it’s likely to drop.

When does Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded start?

Although the official date hasn’t been revealed, the Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded update should arrive on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Season 5 is currently scheduled to begin on July 24, and these mid-season updates tend to drop exactly halfway through, making this the make the most likely date.

Of course, there’s every chance that the devs could change the schedule this time or push it back if it’s not ready, so we’ll update this page as soon as we know more.

New maps

Following the three maps that arrived at the start of the season, Reloaded is bringing two more — Fringe and Eclipse.

Fringe will be instantly recognizable to anyone who played Black Ops 3, as it’s widely regarded as one of that game’s best maps. It won’t look exactly the same as it’s been “reimagined” for BO6, since players no longer have access to jetpacks for extra mobility – although leaks could have you believe otherwise.

Meanwhile, Eclipse is a brand-new Strike map to be played in 6v6 or 2v2. It’s set in a shady nightclub, complete with a dancefloor and DJ booth.

New weapons

As always, two new weapons will be added as part of the mid-season patch. The first is the Olympia, a double-barrel Shotgun which hasn’t been seen since BO3 and boasts incredibly high damage at close ranges.

The second is the Pickaxe, a melee weapon that can kill enemies in one hit and has a respectable attack speed, but less range than other options in its class.

Both of these weapons will be available as part of an in-game event.

New mode

The Season 4 Reloaded update also brings a new mode to get stuck into — Party Ops. This LTM drops players into a series of themed minigames, and whoever emerges from all of them with the highest total score is the winner.

It hasn’t been revealed exactly what these minigames will be, but expect bite-sized challenges that put your accuracy and movement to the test.

Zombies content

So far, all we know is that two more LTMs are coming to Zombies in Season 4 — Starting Room and Abomination Challenge.

Starting room is a more compact version of the classic Zombies experience, which limits squads to the very first area of a map. This means you’re cut off from the Mystery Box, Pack-a-Punch, and most of the other powerful upgrades you might be used to.

On the other hand, Abomination Challenge is set on a “warped” version of Liberty Falls, where you’ll be tasked with tracking down a suped-up Abomination among the regular enemies.

While this is all that’s confirmed at the moment, there’s plenty of speculation that a new Zombies map could be on the way. Leaks have previously suggested that there’s at least one more still to come during Black Ops 6’s lifecycle, and the final cutscene of Shattered Veil heavily implied it would be set at Janus Towers.
