Although Black Ops 7 has been confirmed, there are still a couple more seasons of Black Ops 6 to come, with Season 5 up next.
This is the next major Call of Duty update following Season 4 Reloaded, where the devs will add a slew of new weapons, a new Battle Pass, and more.
Details are sparse at the moment, but we know when it’s due to arrive, what these updates always bring, and the arrival of the final Zombies map. Here’s everything we know so far.
Black Ops 6 Season 5 is set to start on August 7, 2025, as this is when the Season 4 Battle Pass timer expires.
CoD seasons typically last eight weeks, so it would have normally ended on July 24, but it appears to have been extended by a couple of weeks to end on Thursday, August 7, instead.
New Zombies map
Black Ops 6’s final Zombies map arrives with the Season 5 update. We’ve all been waiting for ‘Janus Towers’ to arrive after its tease at the end of the Shattered Veil Easter egg, and the June 17 COD POD confirmed its Season 5 arrival.
“I can confirm that the finale of the Black Ops 6 Zombies story, including the new map, will launch at Season 5,” said Stephanie Snowden, Senior Director of Communications (timestamp: 44:33).
“We’ve been building towards this, the map is awesome, I’m not allowed to say anything more than it’s coming at the launch of Season 5,” she continued. “It’s the conclusion. We do know that Zombies is part of Black Ops 7, we got a taste of Zombies just at the end of the official teaser there, so lots to be excited about. Definitely pay attention to what’s ahead in Season 5.”
While we know the next map takes place at Janus Towers, it might not be the official name, but we’ll know for sure nearer to Season 5’s release.
