The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 finale will be the last ever episode of the flagship series. So you don’t miss a thing, here’s exactly when Episode 10 lands on Hulu and what to expect.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, The Handmaid’s Tale quickly became a cultural phenomenon when it debuted in 2017. But after six tense seasons, the story is finally reaching its conclusion.
In the latest chapter of the Hulu series, we’ve seen June and Serena heading down two very different paths. While Serena’s been heading up Gilead reforms via New Bethlehem, June’s been working with Mayday and the US government to bring the oppressive regime down for good.
This came to a head in Season 6 Episode 9, and it’s all to play for in the finale. Whether Mayday wins (and who dies along the way) is anyone’s guess right now, but there’s not long to wait to find out.
Season 6 Episode 10 of The Handmaid’s Tale lands on Hulu on May 27, 2025, at 12am ET. This means those on PT get it a day earlier – May 26, 2025, at 9pm.
If you live outside of the US, you have two options: either wait for an international release, or sign up to Hulu by using a VPN and purchasing a gift card for the streaming service.
If you go with the latter, here’s when to expect the new instalment in different timezones:
- 1am Brazil
- 5am UK
- 6am Central European Summer Time
- 9:30am India Standard Time
- 2pm Australia
- 4pm New Zealand
Will there be another episode?
No, Season 6 has 10 episodes, meaning after the finale, there will be no more episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale… ever.
This was to be expected. Although this is three episodes less than Seasons 2 and 3, it follows the same format as the rest of the Hulu show’s runs. You can compare them below:
- Season 1 – 10 episodes
- Season 2 – 13 episodes
- Season 3 – 13 episodes
- Season 4 – 10 episodes
- Season 5 – 10 episodes
- Season 6 – 10 episodes

Finale will be “emotional and authentic”
As said, details about Season 6 Episode 10 are scarce, but showrunners Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang have said it will be an “emotional and authentic” end for June.
Speaking with ScreenRant, Tuchman said, “I think fans should expect an honest, emotional, and authentic ending for June’s journey. If they’ve stuck with her from the beginning, I think they’ll be very understanding about where she ends up.”
Chang went on to say that while it will be a fitting conclusion for the flagship show, some plot threads will be saved for the upcoming spinoff series, The Testaments.
“We are able to resolve a lot of storylines. There’s still probably a very big cliffhanger that will get resolved in this sequel, but it was just such a blessing to be able to wrap up this amazing series,” she said.
“It was a privilege, really. I’m just thrilled that I got to be a part of it, and I thank our fans who are really, I think, the best fans in the world.”
In a conversation with The New York Times, Tuchman stated, “As far as a takeaway from the season, there is no doubt the show has been dark and bleak at times. But the heart of the show is where you find hope, courage and resilience.
“People come back to the show because they see ordinary people and women doing extraordinary things. It’s a place to feel inspired and empowered, not depressed and disturbed.
“Especially this season, I think people will feel hopeful by the end.”
