Predator: Badlands pushed the classic franchise further than ever before, as director Dan Trachtenberg makes Dek, a Yautja hunter, the main character. The stand-alone adventure was fairly successful and earned $184 million worldwide, and fans are understandably keen to rewatch it. So when will Predator: Badlands release on Disney Plus?

The sequel takes place in the far flung future, when mankind has started to colonize other planets at the same time that Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) tries to prove himself to his clan by hunting an apex predator on the galaxy’s most dangerous planet, Genna.

While there, he crosses paths with a synthetic android, Thia (Elle Fanning) and reluctantly teams up with her to travel across the treacherous landscape. Thia’s introduction is a smart crossover with the Alien franchise, because she’s a Weyland-Yutani android, the nefarious company at the heart of all the Xenomorph action.

It seems inevitable that 20th Century Studios will take a third stab at a live-action Alien vs. Predator movie, with Predator: Badlands sowing those seeds early. For now, fans will be able to enjoy all those Easter eggs when Predator: Badlands starts streaming on Disney Plus.

When is Predator: Badlands on Disney Plus?

Predator: Badlands will be released on Disney+ February 12, 2026. Disney has confirmed the release, and it’s following the studio’s typical theatrical-to-streaming release model. The company usually waits around three or four months before new blockbusters are released onto the platform.

For example, The Fantastic Four: First Steps was released in theaters July 2025, and it debuted on Disney+ in November later in the year. There are some exceptions to the rule, like when the company has huge hits on its hands, and then it’s lucrative to give films a longer theatrical window. For example, the company waited almost six months to add Avatar: The Way of Water to Disney Plus because it continued to make money.

How to watch Predator: Badlands

Obviously, Predator: Badlands is no longer in theaters, so you won’t be able to watch it on the big screen. But if you don’t have Disney Plus (or simply can’t wait until February 12) then the the sequel is available to buy on Prime Video for a discounted price of $9.99 when it is usually $29.99.

Fans who prefer physical media can buy Predator: Badlands on 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD from February 17, 2026.
