Cody ‘WhistlinDiesel’ Detwiler has finished building a full-scale replica of the infamous Killdozer and immediately put it to use by flattening a line of vehicles in a new YouTube video.
The original Killdozer was a heavily modified bulldozer used by Marvin Heemeyer during a 2004 rampage in Granby, Colorado. Heemeyer armored the machine with layers of steel and concrete, destroying 13 buildings before taking his own life. The event has since become a controversial internet legend.
WhistlinDiesel’s version has been in development for months. In the video, posted on July 25, he shows off the completed build and uses it to demolish multiple parked cars in a field on his property.
WhistlinDiesel wants to unleash the Killdozer’s power
According to the YouTuber, the replica took about nine months to complete. It features steel armor, reinforced windows, and mounted cameras. It cost about $200,000 to build, and weighs roughly 155,000lbs, which is 40,000lbs more than an actual tank.
After demolishing the cars and various other things around his property, the YouTuber expressed interest in using the massive bulldozer to demolish an actual building.
“One last thing,” he said. “I wanted to demolish a shopping center, a Walmart, or a store. So if anyone has something really cool to demolish, and you have a demolition permit for it, we will haul this and demolish really cool structures.”
Detwiler says that now that they’ve demolished some things with the massive bulldozer, he wants to durability test it.
“I think we’re going to sit in here while we shoot it,” he said. “We’re going to drive cars and trucks into it. We’re going to put small explosives around it. We’re going to grease it and see if we can climb up the sides. We’re also going to lift it with a helicopter and drop it.”
