YouTuber Cody ‘WhistlinDiesel’ Detwiler put an $80,000 humanoid robot named Ben through an intense series of “durability tests,” ultimately destroying it in the process.

The YouTuber’s new video begins with Dewiler provoking the robot verbally and physically before escalating into a string of challenges. Ben is seen stepping off ledges, walking into water, and wielding weapons, including a machete. In one segment, the robot is even tasked with babysitting, where it unnervingly presents a machete to a child.

The tests continued in a home setting, where the robot smashed a mirror, damaged a wall, and broke through a door during a staged “burglary test.” Outdoors, WhistlinDiesel drove a truck into Ben, took it into downtown Nashville, and even used it to mow a lawn.

Robot destroyed and sold for parts

The destruction escalated as the robot was repeatedly struck by a truck before being dismembered. By the end, pieces of Ben were offered for sale.

Over the years, WhistlinDiesel has skyrocketed in popularity with his videos where he demolishes something of high value, although it’s usually cars

Back in February 2025, the YouTuber put a $400,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom through a shredder and sold the pieces to fans on his website.

A few months after that, WD gathered a group of friends to demolish a Tesla Cybertruck with C4 explosives, Jake Paul’s fist, other influencers like Mike Majlak, and more.
