A TikTok account called thisismatttaylor has quickly gone viral, with viewers pointing out a striking resemblance between its star and actor Kevin James.
“Hey guys, Mister Taylor here,” is how the man behind the account has started almost every video so far. Then, he pivots to talking about his life as an art teacher and shows the kids in his classroom.
The first video was uploaded to the account on October 15, 2025, and almost immediately prompted speculation that Taylor is actually Kevin James, a popular actor.
The videos quickly went viral, amassing millions of views and tens of thousands of comments across the six uploads on the channel so far.
Viewers have compared various facial features between the man in the video and Kevin James, and have concluded that the Matt Taylor account is a marketing campaign for one of the actor’s upcoming movies.
“If not Kevin James why Kevin James shaped?” one user asked.
Another commented: “I’m tired of being gaslit.”
“I’m assuming this is early marketing for Solo Mio, which comes out in February. He plays a character named Matt,” replied a third.

Kevin James is set to star in Solo Mio, an upcoming film where he plays a character named Matt. Nothing has been confirmed, but the timing and character name match are fueling the theory.
There’s not a ton of information available about the movie outside of its February 6, 2026, release date, but IMDB says: “After being left at the altar in Rome, Matt goes on his honeymoon alone, discovering Italy’s gorgeous landscape, culture, and people.”
