If you’ve been gripped by Pluribus for the past two months, you should know that there’s no Episode 10 on Apple TV this week – here’s why.

Pluribus has been one of the TV events of the year, with Vince Gilligan’s first show since Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul receiving rave reviews and scoring huge viewing figures for Apple TV.

The show stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, an unhappy author who becomes one of the few humans not to be infected by a virus that turns most of the world into a kind, peaceful, but seemingly sinister hive mind.

The show revolves around Carol’s efforts to return the world to the way it was, but running into obstacles at every turn.

Is there a Pluribus Episode 10?

There’s no Pluribus Episode 10 this week, as Season 1 was only nine episodes long, meaning it has now concluded.

That isn’t the end of the show, however, as when Apple won the bidding war for Pluribus, the deal was for two seasons, with more potentially following.

Though there’s no word regarding exactly when fresh episodes will arrive, Gilligan told Entertainment Weekly: “We’re working on it. It takes us a while. I would love to go faster if I could.”

What happened at the end of Episode 9?

At the end of Pluribus Season 1, Carol decides to help Manousos put an end to the Joining and obtains an atomic bomb for that purpose.

But that’s not before she has a wobble. When Manousos first arrives on her doorstep, Carol becomes annoyed at his paranoia. Then, when he uses a radio frequency to trigger a global seizure, resulting in the Others departing, she becomes enraged.

Carol departs with Zosia, and the pair of them bond while on something of a world tour. But their seemingly idyllic time together abruptly ends when Carol learns that the Others are using stem cells from her frozen eggs to bring her into the fold.

That’s it for Carol, so she returns home, dumps the bomb in front of her house, and tells Manousos, “you win – we save the world.” And that’s where Season 1 concludes.
