A California woman is going viral after renting a dozen billboards along Highway 101 and launching a website in an effort to find her future husband.

Lisa Catalano, 42, from San Mateo, began the ad campaign on September 2 following failed relationships and what she described as disappointing experiences with dating apps. The billboards stretch across a 45-mile span between Santa Clara and San Francisco and direct drivers to her website.

“I’m putting myself out there,” Catalano told the New York Post. “This is not a joke. It’s not a gimmick. This is a serious, self-funded endeavor. I just want to find my husband.”

Billboards, taxis, and a dating site

Catalano, who works as a vintage clothing retailer, said she did not want to disclose the cost of the campaign but confirmed she is also paying for ads on taxis. Billboard rates vary depending on time, location, and demand.

Her website features details about her lifestyle, “non-negotiables,” and a submission form for potential matches. Catalano said she is looking for a man between the ages of 35 and 45 who shares her religious and political beliefs, leads a health-oriented lifestyle, and is interested in a monogamous relationship.

Other singles have turned to similar public stunts in recent years. Los Angeles attorney Eve Tilley-Coulson previously offered a $5,000 “referral fee” to anyone who helped her find a partner, while Mohamed Ibrahim, from New Jersey, purchased billboard space in Times Square to advertise himself.

Catalano remains determined to keep searching. “I want to fall in love. I want to get married and start a family,” she told the Post. “He’s gotta be out there.”
