A woman in California has gone viral after taking out billboards to try to find a husband. However, she’s only limiting it to one stretch of road at the minute.

When it comes to finding a partner, you can cast your net as far and wide as you want these days. Dating apps and websites allow you to narrow, or widen, your search pretty much however you want.

There have been plenty of success stories over the years, and horror stories, when it comes to people using the internet to find the love of their life. Yet, one woman – Lisa Catalano – from California has not been put off by that.

Catalano has gone viral for her ‘MarryLisa’ campaign, where she has spent an unknown amount of money on billboards in her home state. Yet, they are only confined to one 50-mile stretch of road on a freeway.

MarryLisa campaign picks up steam

“This is not a joke. It’s not a gimmick. This is a serious, self-funded endeavor.I just want to find my husband,” Catalano told the New York Post after being inundated with requests to talk about her campaign.

Some TikTok users have mocked her attempts to find a husband using a method that is typically reserved for lawyers and chain restratuns. However, the 42-year-old is sticking by it.

“I want to fall in love. I want to get married and started a family. He’s gotta be out there,” she added.

In terms of what she is looking for, Catalano wants “a man between the ages of 35 to 45” who “aligns with me on religious and political beliefs, as well as leading a health-oriented lifestyle.” Her non-negotiables involve not having a criminal record and wanting to start a family within two to three years.

The hopeful single isn’t worried about the cost of the ad campaign; she just wants to find the right man.

“I will do a full breakdown after I meet someone and am done with the billboards,” she commented on TikTok. “It’s been a few weeks so far, and hopefully I won’t have to rent them for too much longer!”

She has plans to expand it too, should the search continue on for a while. Her next idea? Advertising on top of taxis. Sarah is really honing in on a man who keeps an eye out on the roads.

Though, she did note she has had plenty of applications so far.
