On April 1, 2025, an X user by the name of Moon Dragon posted a tweet that had the whole internet talking and ended up receiving 1B views.
If you’ve been on X at all in the past month, you’ve probably seen a post featuring a smiling stick figure sitting awkwardly at a desk staring at a computer screen with the caption: “Share a piece of lore about yourself.”
The tweet spread like wildfire, with users and big brands such as McDonald’s retweeting it and revealing information about themselves.
At the time of writing, the tweet has been viewed over 1.2 BILLION times, which is more than significant historical moments, such as Joe Biden announcing he would not be seeking reelection.
On July 22, the user shared some lore about herself, quote-tweeting her original post and giving fans an idea of how much money she earned by going so ultra viral.

According to Moon Dragon, who uses the handle ‘frozenaesthetic,’ prior to her viral tweet, she was called “poor” and mocked for not having a job.
However, that completely changed after her tweet took over the platform.
“This tweet blew up to astronomical levels and given me a more than decent payout,” she said. “Thank you Twitter [X], you chose the right one.”
Viewers immediately began to ask Moon Dragon exactly how much she earned through the post, but kept info to a minimum, only stating that she made under $100K for the tweet.
“People wanna know the payout and I’m just gonna say it was more than decent because why plague others with it,” she explained. “Half the world is broke and struggling to eat, they don’t need to know how well I’m doing.”
She further claimed to have been receiving death threats and had numerous people asking for donations. But, when pressed about whether she “made a killing” or not, Moon Dragon replied that she “did well.”
Luckily, Grok, which has access to X analytics, shared some insights into how much the viral tweet actually made, and it’s certainly impressive.
“Based on X’s creator revenue sharing, typical payouts are $8-10 per million impressions from ads in replies. For a post with ~1.26 billion views (assuming correlated impressions), estimated earnings: $10,000-$12,600. Actuals vary by engagement, audience, and verification status,” the AI predicted.
