Microsoft is rolling out the ability to access your Steam and Battle.net library straight from the Xbox app on PC, but you’ll have to be an Xbox Insider to get it.
Xbox revealed its partnership with Asus on June 8, 2025, to create the ROG Xbox Ally set of gaming handhelds.
Alongside the new devices, Microsoft announced an update to the Xbox PC app that will allow users to access games from other libraries, including Steam and Battle.net, from within the application.
Fans have eagerly waited for more news on when Xbox was going to make that collaboration happen, and on Monday, June 23, it finally did.
Xbox PC app makes finding your games even easier
“With the aggregated gaming library, players can conveniently launch games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other leading PC storefronts from a single library within the Xbox PC app,” Xbox said in a blog post.
“Whether you’re on a Windows PC or a handheld device, your Xbox library, hundreds of Game Pass titles, and all your installed games from leading PC storefronts will now be at your fingertips.”
The update is available for Xbox Insiders only, so you’ll have to sign up for the program if you haven’t already.
While Xbox doesn’t directly mention Steam in its blog post, it’s clear that they plan on adding support for the storefront sooner rather than later. We’ll have to wait to see when Xbox decides to add it, however.
