PC players in the Xbox Insider Program’s Gaming Preview can stream select console games they own—going beyond the Game Pass library—directly from the cloud.
The feature is available to Game Pass Ultimate members in the 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming is supported. It uses the same ‘Stream your own game’ system introduced earlier this year across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, smart TVs, Meta Quest headsets, and browser-enabled devices.
Now integrated into the Xbox PC app, the feature allows players to stream eligible games from their own libraries without installing them. That includes certain console-only titles that were previously unavailable through the PC app.
Cloud gaming expands to personal libraries
To access the feature, users must open the Xbox PC app, navigate to the Cloud Gaming section, and look for the new ‘Stream your own game’ catalog. From there, they can launch any compatible game they already own and play it instantly. Over 250 games are supported at launch, including titles outside of the Game Pass catalog.
Some of the games included in the feature are Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, as well as indie hits like Balatro and Date Everything.
However, not all games are compatible. Titles that rely on Kinect or have licensing restrictions may not appear in the streamable library. Xbox says more games will be added over time, including Xbox Play Anywhere titles and additional console-only releases.
