If you think you’ve got more stamina than Gi-hun, maybe you should sign up for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 3 – the spinoff reality series is currently accepting player applications.

The flagship Netflix series may have wrapped up for good, but it’s far from the end of Squid Game. As well as a potential American spinoff, the unscripted competition show is set to return with Season 2 in November.

Squid Game: The Challenge first debuted in 2023, and quickly grew to be as much of a global phenomenon as the original. The show sees 456 global players compete in a series of childhood games, and while the stakes aren’t quite as high (no one dies), there’s a $4.56 million prize to compete for.

Details about the second chapter have been far and few between as Squid Game dropped Seasons 2 and 3 over the last year, but that’s all changing now that the show has finished.

Netflix has now revealed the Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 release date: November 4, 2025. What’s more, player recruitment for a third chapter is now underway.

If you want to be in with a chance, head to the portal, click on your region, and fill in the form. FYI, you need to be 21 or over apply.

Or, you can apply in person at Squid Game: The Experience in both New York and London, which you can learn more about here.

The latter is harder to get to if you don’t live near the locations, but if you win at the immersive event, you’ll receive priority in the casting process.

The streaming service added, “Starting on July 17, fans of the Squid Game universe and guests of the experience will also have access to apply via social media and QR codes located on site, so keep an eye out for your chance to play.”

If none of that interests you, no doubt the news of Season 2’s upcoming arrival does. The spinoff series was less deadly than the OG, sure, but it served up plenty of drama, competition, and off-screen mayhem.
