George Cooper Sr. is reuniting with members of his Young Sheldon family for a forthcoming episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding.
George Cooper Sr.’s death was mentioned during The Big Bang Theory, while the heart attack that took his life happened in the final season of Young Sheldon.
But you can’t keep a good patriarch down, and as played by Lance Barber, the character returned during Season 1 of Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding, when he appeared to Georgie via visions.
He’s set to return to that sitcom during Season 2, alongside a few more Young Sheldon favorites.
George and Georgie reunited
George Cooper Sr. will appear in Episode 18 of Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding, which returns at the end of this month.
The details of the George’s return are currently being kept under wraps, and he isn’t the only character coming back.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Missy (Raegan Revord), Mary (Zoe Perry), Wayne (Doc Farrow), Fred Fagenbacher (Matthew Letscher), and Principal Paterson (Rex Linn) will all be popping up in Season 2.
The cast celebrated the occasion via a TikTok video featuring George and Georgie, and an Instagram post by the show’s writers that’s captioned ‘He is risen,’ and sees George, Georgie, Missy, and Mary all sitting in their living room as audio from Dance Moms plays on the soundtrack.
Montana Jordan – who plays Georgie – previously told EW: “Anytime that we get to have any of the Cooper family back on set, it’s always a blast. We had a great family dynamic behind the scenes on that show, as we do on this show, so anytime we can bring them back, we’re always welcoming them.”
