Prominent YouTuber and animal rescuer Lee Asher banded together with his community to raise over $100K for a struggling woman to reunite with her beloved pet dog.

Lee is the founder of a nonprofit animal sanctuary called ‘The Asher House.’ The rescue spans 240 acres in Lebanon, Oregon and is described by Lee as a “fenced-in paradise” where the pets, which include cats, dogs, and livestock, can roam free.

The Asher House boasts a large presence on social media, with millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where fans can tune in to see all the adorable animals on the acreage and stay up to date with the rescue’s latest efforts.

On February 4, 2026, Lee uploaded a video to the Asher House YouTube channel where he spoke with an older woman named Tracy Wiggins, who surrendered her dog ‘Dalia’ to their sanctuary due to finances and insufficient living conditions.

Tracy explained that she’d been forced to sell her home after her husband moved away and divorced her. Using the funds from the sale, she purchased a fifth-wheel RV trailer to live in, but feels the small space isn’t enough for Dalia to live comfortably.

“The only time she felt alive is when we were at somebody’s house where she wasn’t on a leash or we were at a park where she didn’t have to be on a leash,” she said.

Some time after Lee took Dalia into the sanctuary, he met up with Tracy to tell her that he didn’t have the heart to adopt her out to another owner. Instead, he said Dalia will stay at the sanctuary as a “vacation” until Tracy gets back on her feet.

To help speed up the process, Lee started a GoFundMe, which has raised over $104,000 USD in the two days since the video was uploaded.

“This is the right thing to do,” he told Tracy as the two embraced in an emotional moment. “I’m so proud of you.”

Tracy says she plans on using the funds to secure safe housing for herself and Dalia with a safe place for the dog to run in and play.

“I’ve never asked for help before but I’m asking now, for the chance to keep the one thing that means more to me than anything: my baby girl,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page.

“Thank you so much for reading, sharing, or donating. Every bit of kindness helps more than I can express.”
